Caltex (CTX) – $1.66: This stock is up 14% since our full review in issue 103/May 02 (Sell - $1.45). Caltex has announced an improved profit outlook, largely thanks to a huge inventory revaluation courtesy of the higher oil price. Also, Ron Brierley's Guiness Peat group has recently become a substantial shareholder. But that's not enough to change our view at the moment, SELL.
