Although the share price has surged as a result of a restructuring, or the 'Anderson Effect', the 1st quarter profit result was rather dismal. Sales decreased by 8.5% to $4.7bn while profit after tax before abnormals also dropped by 5.8% to $344m. Paul Anderson believes the 'long-term trend for commodities will be down' and if this is the case, it will dampen a resurgent BHP. HOLD.
