Whitehaven Coal (WHC) posted a lift in coal production for the three months to December due to strong results from its Narrabri mine.
In its December quarter report to the Australian Securities Exchange, Whitehaven posted 2.86 million tonnes of managed saleable coal production, a 44% lift compared with the 1.99 million tonnes in the three months to December 2012.
Managed run of mine coal production was 3.28 million tonnes in the quarter, a 39% lift from the 2.37 million in the previous corresponding period.
Managed total coal sales were 3.16 million tonnes, a 52% lift from the 2.08 million tonnes in the prior corresponding period.
