The new Super Advisor
We're making a number of important changes to your service. Jason Prowd explains.
When we started Intelligent Investor Super Advisor our aim was to deliver reliable, profitable advice on asset classes beyond shares, as well as good guidance on taxation, portfolio construction and asset allocation issues.
Managing Director Richard Livingston has been the driving force behind that ambition, showing wisdom, candor and expertise from which many subscribers have profited.
But after two years of hard work Richard will be leaving, along with John Nunan (who formed part of the Investment Committee responsible for the model portfolios), to start Eviser (see www.eviser.com.au).
This is not cause for concern, though. Richard will still produce a fortnightly column for Super Advisor and we’ve found some great people to fill his big shoes.
Nathan Bell, Research Director of Intelligent Investor Share Advisor and Tim Chesterfield, Chief Investment Officer of AWI Funds, will join former Intelligent Investor research director Greg Hoffman on the Super Advisor Investment Committee.
Tim and Nathan bring decades of additional investment experience to this committee and both are keenly aware of the needs of the DIY investor. Interviews with Tim and Nathan will be published in the upcoming model portfolio update.
Whilst timely updates on SMSF structuring, taxation and policy changes that affect your retirement remain at the core of Super Advisor, we’re taking this opportunity to make the service even more relevant and useful to members.
First, we’ll soon be launching new model portfolios. Our current Conservative, Moderate and Aggressive portfolios work well but don’t suit everyone. Soon, no matter what your situation, there’ll be a model portfolio to that caters to you.
Second, we’ll be expanding our team of regular contributors to help give you the best possible unaligned advice, including more frequent product reviews. If you want to know which managed funds, ETFs, and Listed Investment Companies we’re happy to recommend, you’ll soon have your answer.
Third, changes to the website should make the experience of reading and finding the advice you need easier and faster. Read more about the changes here.
And lastly, to give you a chance to experience these great improvements at no cost, we’re extending your current Super Advisor membership until March 2015 completely free of charge.
It’s an exciting time for Super Advisor, so if you have any questions or feedback I’d love to hear from you. Email me directly at email@example.com or call 02 8305 6000.
