Stellar rise for law firm

Shares in Slater & Gordon, the first law firm to list on a stock exchange, continued their upward march after it reported a 67.6 per cent jump in profit and forecast an increase in revenue this financial year. The firm reported a $41.9 million profit for the year to June 30, on revenue up 36.7 per cent at $297.6 million. The shares rose 19c to $3.25.
