SHANE WARNE

FORMER AUSTRALIAN CRICKETER (1969)

One of Australian crickets all-time greats, Shane Warne is considered to be one of the best bowlers in the sports history. Born in Upper Ferntree Gully, Victoria, he represented the

University of Melbourne in the 1983/84 season, with his first-class cricket debut coming in 1991. He was selected for the national side later that year. Never far from controversy, Warne

was banned from play in 2003 after a positive drug-test. He retired in 2006, his last match being the final game of the Ashes series. Since retirement, he has stayed in the spotlight, as

commentator, sports columnist and through his various sponsorship deals.
