Dimension Data to provide NEXTDC’s ONEDC Data Centre as a service rack solution as a product to clients.

Dimension Data and NEXTDC have forged an alliance that will see them build a core data centre offering for the Australian market.

Under the agreement, Dimension Data will provide NEXTDC’s ONEDC Data Centre as a service rack solution as a product, or bundle it with Dimension Data’s stack from any NEXTDC data centre nationally.

The agreement was signed by Dimension Data’s general manager for Data Centre Services, Peter Prowse and NEXTDC’s chief executive officer, Craig Scroggie.

Dimension Data’s general manager for Data Centre Services, Peter Prowse, said that the partnership allows Dimension Data to provide its clients with the ability to manage both production and disaster recovery in a cost effective manner, while ensuring the highest levels of availability and business agility.

NEXTDC, which is an Uncapped 100 stock, currently operates five data centre colocation facilities around the country (Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Sydney) with Perth and Sydney to come online in the coming months.

NEXTDC's share price has leapt 4.9% to $2.80 in morning trade.
