Clicking into Asia's smart money

A collaborative approach is the best way to take advantage of myriad opportunities in the Chinese classifieds and training markets, says Seek chief executive Andrew Bassat.

In just 15 years Seek has soared from its humble beginnings as an online job classifieds site to stake out its position as a global media player in the employment, education and training markets. In this video Seek CEO and co-founder Andrew Bassat says taking a collaborative approach to forging new relationships in international markets will open many opportunities for Australia.

"We think the model we’ve adopted in South East Asia is probably the right one – to recognise there’s a lot of smart Chinese there rather than competing with them,” he says. "We do think the opportunities are there and I think people should take the risk to try.”

With an eye always on the ball for the company’s next move, this Clever Australian has proven himself a visionary leader in business.
