An opinion piece published on Thursday by Tim Colebatch stated that the Reserve Bank some years ago asked the Bureau of Statistics to postpone the release of the quarterly GDP figures until a week after the bank's monthly board meeting. In fact, the Reserve asked the bureau to bring the release forward a day to coincide with the meeting. The mistake was made by the writer.
