Bowen joins Orica executive

Former Macmahon MD takes role as executive global head of mining services.

Orica (ORI) has hired former Macmahon Holdings (MAH) managing director Nick Bowen as its executive global head of mining services, effective from November 11.

In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, Orica said Mr Bowen is a highly experienced senior manager with deep experience in the sector and across international operations.

The appointment come after a global search to fill the role.

Orica managing director Ian Smith said the appointment of Nick Bowen added significant strength to the executive management team, adding "his experience in the mining services sector will be invaluable in enhancing Orica's ability to meet the needs of its customers".

James Bonnor, presently general manager of mining services Australia Pacific region, will act as executive global head of mining services until Mr Bowen commences on November 11.
