Aust stocks close lower on China data

Local bourse slumps after HSBC Chinese flash manufacturing PMI hits six-month low.

The Australian sharemarket has closed more than one per cent lower after Chinese manufacturing data hit a six-month low, missing analyst's expectations.

At the official market close of 1615 AEDT, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was 1.07% lower at 5,263 points, while the broader All Ordinaries index was 1.05% lower at 5,275.5 points.
