AWI is a listed financial services and newsletter business chaired by Paul Clitheroe. Its two main businesses are InvestSMART, which began as a fund supermarket in 1999 and is now a multi-faceted portfolio management service, and Intelligent Investor, a long-standing investment newsletter.
I think that Eureka Report is a natural addition to AWI's portfolio of businesses and that AWI is the ideal owner of Eureka. Like us, it has a small business culture, a laser-like focus on serving its readers and customers and places a high value on content.
Paul and AWI CEO Ron Hodge have no plans to change the way Eureka Report operates: they intend to preserve the staffing, including me, and to build on our tradition of integrity and independence.
The only difference you'll notice is that you will have access to more content and more services through InvestSMART.
I've known both Paul and Ron for decades and like them both a lot, so I'm really looking forward to working with them - it should be a lot of fun.
But most importantly, I'm sure the main beneficiary of this change will be you.
