Finding good analysts is always difficult, but it's even harder to find ones that truly 'get' value investing, and harder still to find these skills in people that can also communicate their ideas effectively.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, we've found over the years that one of the best sources for new analysts has been our own readership and we're once again hoping to tap into it.

So, if you're an enthusiastic value investor and you're interested in a career at Intelligent Investor, then we'd love to hear from you.

You will have a naturally inquisitive mind, a keen interest in what makes companies tick, and strong mathematical and analytical skills. You will also be able to communicate your ideas in concise and clear language, having the confidence to use ordinary words rather than hiding behind jargon.

Prior experience as an investor is required, although a background in finance is not. You may be just starting out in your career, or you may be looking for a change after a number of years. For the right candidate, we can be flexible over pay and other terms.

You will join our team of eight analysts, preparing your research for publication on our website www.intelligentinvestor.com.au and elsewhere, as well as providing ideas for our funds.

You will benefit from our extensive development program and we offer support for employees that wish to pursue external qualifications, such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

As you develop in your role, there will be opportunities to interact with our members and the public via podcasts, video and other media appearances. You will also be encouraged to visit companies and speak with management.
