How to buy a superpower, and a call for reviews!
A friend of mine in Canada recently had laser eye surgery to correct his vision. The procedure went according to plan. Much to his surprise, however, he left the clinic with better than 20/20 vision and now sits in the top few percent of the population for visual acuity.
It's no surprise then that with technological advances that can give people superpowers there's been a boom in the ophthalmic industry. As Australia's population is aging, and its eyesight fading, it's also hard to see the pace slowing down any time soon.
We're currently researching the largest Australian provider of eye surgeries, Vision Eye Institute. With 19 clinics scattered around, there's a reasonable chance at least a few of you have had surgery at one of their centres and could add valuable information to our research. We'd like to throw open the doors to consumer reviews!
If you've ever visited a VEI clinic, why did you choose it over the competition? How did you hear about VEI? Were you after a specific doctor? Were you happy with your experience? What procedure did you have, was it discretionary?
If you were looking for a laser eye clinic, but decided against VEI, why was this? Was price a significant influence in your decision or was some other factor of greater concern?
We'd love to hear about your experience.
