Fundlater account management & repayments

You will be provided with a BPAY biller code and reference number to make your payments. You will also receive email and text notifications when each instalment is due.

No, at the moment the only payment facility available is BPAY.

The minimum amount is $320 per month. You can pay your Fundlater non-recourse loan off quicker if you want.

Every month on the account opening anniversary date. You will be sent email and text reminders as the due date approaches.

If you don’t make one of your $320 monthly payments, we will send a reminder by email on the 1st, 5th, and 9th day following the missed payment. If payment has not been received 10 days after your monthly payment date, all securities within your portfolio will be sold. You will receive back the portfolio value minus the outstanding instalments.

If, for whatever reason, you will not be able to pay your installment on the payment date, please contact us as soon as possible.

You can make multiple payments throughout the month as long as the total for the month adds up to or exceeds $320.

You have 20 months (20 instalments of $320) from your account opening date. You can pay off your loan earlier.

InvestSMART Professionally Managed Accounts using a Fundlater non-recourse loan can invest in the following InvestSMART Diversified Portfolios:

  • InvestSMART Conservative
  • InvestSMART Balanced
  • InvestSMART Growth
  • InvestSMART High Growth

Yes, you can change to any of the four investment models. But please note, brokerage is charged when switching.

No, only payment installments go towards paying off the loan.

Investors can instruct InvestSMART to close their account at any time. InvestSMART will sell down their portfolio and deduct any outstanding instalments left to pay and return remaining money to the investor. InvestSMART bears the risk, if the sum of remaining instalments is greater than the value of the portfolio, the investor will receive no money but will not owe InvestSMART either.

No, a Fundlater non-recourse loan is not a margin loan. As long as you can continue to make the repayments your account will continue to operate no matter the market movements.

Yes, you will be able to borrow an additional $6,000 when you have paid off your initial loan. At this point in time the loan amount will never be greater than $6,000.

No, you cannot make partial withdrawals if you are a using a Fundlater non-recourse loan. If you require funds you will need to withdraw the full amount. When requesting a full withdrawal InvestSMART will sell down the portfolio and deduct any outstanding instalments left and return the remaining funds to you.
