Business Description: Wide Bay Australia Ltd (WBB) is engaged in the provision of banking facilities and financial services, including the raising of funds on deposits and the provision of finance over mortgages secured by residential property. WBB provides loans, savings and investments, insurance, foreign exchange and banking services in Australia.
Strategy Analysis: WBB's strategy is strongly focused on developing and strengthening the performances of its branches, both in lending and retail deposits. WBB will continue to look for opportunities to further develop and expand its operations. In 2009 WBB introduced a new personal risk insurance cover called Widecover LIFE which has generated additional fee income for the society.
Wide Bay Australia reported NPAT up 1.67% to $22.68m for the year ended 30 June 2011. Revenues from ordinary activities were $204.69m, up 16.70% from the same period last year. Basic and Diluted EPS were 66.36 cents compared to 70.54 cents last year. Net operating cash flow was $26.20m compared to $28.77m last year. The final dividend declared was 30 cents, taking the full year dividend to 60 cents compared with 63 cents last year.
