Company Overview

Business Description:
Schaffer Corporation Limited (SFC) is a diversified industrial company whose core operating divisions are Building Products and Automotive Leather. The Company also holds an investment property portfolio.

Strategy Analysis:
SFC continues to focus on automotive leather and building products, while divesting non-core property assets. The strategy for growth includes cost control, expanding the distribution network and making acquisitions that are complementary to the building products operations. The focus for Howe is the European and Chinese markets. Trading conditions are currently poor, so Howe is also focused on building its customer base. Current customers include BMW, Ford, GM, Honda, Audi, Land Rover and Toyota. The building products division provides stable earnings and strong cash flows, however conditions are difficult. The UrbanStone business is focused on developing new products, and Delta is focused on minimising costs through mechanisation.
