Company Overview

Business Description:
Resolute Mining Limited (RSG) is a gold mining and exploration company operating in Africa (Tanzania, Mali, Cote D'lvoire) and Australia.

Strategy Analysis:
RSG aims to create shareholder value through success as a developer and operator of quality gold projects. The company also intends to expand its gold resources and production base through exploration. This takes place on tenure close to existing operations or via joint ventures on ground that has been identified through regional studies. . Resolute Mining reported NPAT of $61.39m for the year ended 30 June 2011. Revenues from ordinary activities were $445.06m, up 30% from last year. Revenues were enhanced by the close out of the hedge book in October 2010 which has allowed greater participation in the strong spot gold price. Diluted EPS was 11.24 cents compared to (9.90) cents last year. Net operating cash flow was $58.66m compared to $31.79m last year. No dividend was declared. Forecast gold production for the group for the year ending 30 June 2012 is 410,000oz at a cash cost of approximately $730 per ounce (based on an assumed USD/AUD exchange rate of US$1.05).
