Business Description: Novogen Limited (NRT) is involved in pharmaceutical research and development and marketing of consumer healthcare products. Novogen is targeting the treatment of cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, chronic inflammatory diseases and inflammatory bowel disease.
Strategy Analysis: NRT's main strategy is focused on growing the value of its intellectual property, the core of which is the Novogen isoflavonoid technology platform. The growth in value is being underwritten in a number of ways such as by continuing to expand the number of compounds and products in the development portfolio; by seeking to protect these products through a vigorous international patenting program; by taking selected products through to a stage of clinical development where there is 'proof-of-concept' and the products have a definable value. During the year, Novogen introduced Promensil into Italy and Switzerland. Promensil is a market leading brand in most countries it competes in and future growth is expected to be achieved through leveraging the Promensil brand into new markets.
