Company Overview

Business Description:
Country Road (CTY) is involved in the retail of fashion apparel, accessories, homewares and home furnishings. The brand is sold primarily through Country Road retail stores, major department and specialty stores.

Strategy Analysis:
CTY's strategy for growth is to expand both product ranges and its retail footprint. In light of the current economic conditions, CTY has implemented several cost-saving initiatives. Management continue to focus on cost control and inventory management. . Country Road reported NPAT up 47.70% to $18.22m for the year ended 30 June 2011. Revenues from ordinary activities were $423.79m, up 11.20% from last year. Basic and Diluted EPS were 26.38 cents compared to 17.86 cents last year. Net operating cash flow was $35.91m compared to $1.25m last year. The final dividend declared was 12.93 cents, taking the full year dividend to 18.57 cents compared with 8.81 cents last year.
