Business Description: Westfield Carindale is a two-level regional shopping centre with a gross lettable area of around 115,000 sq m. The shopping center consists of two department stores, two discount department stores, three supermarkets and over 290 specialty retailers. The adjoining Home & Leisure Centre comprises a further 8 retailers. As at 30 June 2011, the centre had a retail occupancy rate of more than 99%.
Strategy Analysis: CDP's ongoing capital works program provides a constantly revitalised environment through upgrades to various precincts, refurbishment of amenities and the introduction of numerous retailers. The remixing of retailers within the centre has contributed to the centre´s emerging position as a key fashion destination in Brisbane.
Carindale Property Trust reported NPAT up 2% to $19.38m for the year ended 30 June 2011. Revenue from ordinary activities were $36.25m. Basic and Diluted EPS were 27.69 cents compared to 27.16 cents last year. Net operating cash flow was $23.78m compared to $23.41m last year. The final dividend declared was 13.9 cents, taking the full year dividend to 27.8 cents compared with 27.78 cents last year.
