Open an Account

Choose the account type that best suits your needs. Once you have printed the required form, simply enter your details, sign it and return it to us with a copy of your identification. Don't worry if you don't have a printer - you will be able to request that we mail you a form to complete and sign.

Please note, only Australian residents with a valid Australian address can apply to open a share trading account

Account type Description How to apply
Individual or Joint A standard trading account with one or two account holders. Application form
Company A Company account is for incorporated businesses. Application form
Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) For a registered Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) or DIY Superannuation Fund. Application form
One-off Sale Use this form to easily sell issuer sponsored shares without needing to open a trading account. This is the ideal way to sell shares you have received in a float. One-off Sale page

Margin Lending This is an account for those who use, or want to use, a Margin Lender for geared investments. Application form
Direct Credit Transfer funds to a nominated external bank account from your Cash Account. Click here to view
Electronic Confirmation Authorises us to send you share trade confirmations electronically and replaces confirmations by post. Click here to view
CHESS Conversion Convert your Issuer Sponsored SRN to your HIN with InvestSMART. Click here to view
Transfer CHESS Holdings Transfer any stock held under your HIN with another broker to your HIN with InvestSMART. Click here to view
Telephone only account This account type can only trade by phone and CHESS sponsorship and a Cash Account are optional. Application form
