Objectives and Strategy
Fund Objective The Manager's underlying investment philosophy for the Fund is based on the belief that while markets are inefficient and discrepancies exist in the short term, prices in the long term ultimately reflect fundamental values. The Manager seeks to identify what it considers to be undervalued fixed interest securities that will benefit from an upside correction between the markets' short term inefficiency and long-term efficiency.
Fund Strategy The Fund is managed using a value-oriented, fundamental, bottom-up approach that results in a concentrated portfolio of fixed interest securities issued by companies in the Asian region and the Middle East, which are, in the view of the Manager, undervalued, on either an absolute or a relative basis, and have potential for capital appreciation. This may include high yield debt and convertible notes as well as cash and money market instruments and derivatives including OTC participatory notes and foreign exchange contracts.

Raising share cap 'is unfair on investors'

The Age 23/05/2012 | The plan remains divisive within the community. A PLAN to raise the cap on how many shares small and mid-cap companies can issue each year has been criticised by wealth management companies, which say the move threatens investors' rights. Fees force strategy rethink

Sydney Morning Herald 23/05/2012 | Do you have a transition-to-retirement strategy set up by your financial planner that you have not heard about for some time? Then get on the phone and organise a meeting. Under the lower superannuation contribution cap of $25,000 from July 1, the cost of the strategy may outweigh the benefits.
