Objectives and Strategy
Fund Objective To offer investors an opportunity to invest in a specialised and focused global equity option. Magellan has two primary investment objectives - to achieve superior risk-adjusted investment returns over the medium-to-long term and to minimise the risk of permanent capital loss.
Fund Strategy Magellan aims to find outstanding companies at attractive prices. Magellan considers outstanding companies to be those that have sustainable competitive advantages which translate into returns on capital materially in excess of their cost of capital for a sustained period of time. Magellan will endeavour to acquire these outstanding companies at a discount to its assessment of the intrinsic value of the companies. The portfolio will consist of 20 to 40 investments. This option does not hedge currency risk.
