Objectives and Strategy
Fund Objective To magnify returns via capital growth by investing in 'leading name' or 'blue chip' Australian companies on a geared basis. Minimum suggested investment timeframe is 6 years.
Fund Strategy Colonial First State strives to profit through the accumulation of securities in companies whose earnings are expected to grow at a greater rate than the domestic economy. This is known as Colonial First State's 'GDP-Plus' approach. Gearing is used to magnify returns from the investments (whether they are gains or losses) relative to the returns of comparable ungeared investment. Asset allocation ranges: Australian shares 80-100% and cash 0-20%.
