Objectives and Strategy
Fund Objective The primary aim is to deliver a combination of income and capital growth over the medium to long-term by investing in a portfolio of direct property and listed property securities. We aim to achieve this objective by outperforming the benchmark asset allocation returns [50% Mercer Unlisted Property Funds Index (before fees and taxes) and 50% S&P/ASX 200 Property Trust Accumulation Index] over rolling five year periods.
Fund Strategy The investment objective of the Fund is currently pursued by investing in a portfolio of direct property and listed property securities. Exposure to direct property and listed property securities is obtained through related Funds managed by us, the BlackRock Property Trust and the BlackRock Property Securities Fund. The portion of the Fund not invested in direct property or listed property securities will be invested in the money market (ie. cash) through a BlackRock wholesale fund.
