Objectives and Strategy
Fund Objective The aim is to accumulate hotel properties throughout Aust & N Z, with long term management agreements or leases to experienced managers, to provide a reliable & attractive income with potential for capital growth over the medium term. Targeting a total return for investors of 10% pa after costs and before tax comprising (a) regular quarterly income forecast at 8% pa and (b) growth in the Fund's net asset value
Fund Strategy Abacus is seeking to acquire hotel properties that offer (a) protection from new competition (b) potential for enhanced profitability (c) inherent underlying land value (d) vacant possession (e) alternative highest and best use opportunities (f) minimal capital expenditure requirements in the near term. Selected professional hotel operators will undertake day-to-day management of hotels. To grow fund through acquisition of additional hotel properties. May also sell assets if it is in the best interest of the securityholders
