Company Overview
Company Overview
AGI supplies gaming machines and gaming systems, locally and internationally. This includes designing, developing and manufacturing video gaming machines, video games and Embassy Jackpot systems. AGI provides maintenance and service support for its range of machines.
Company History
Ainsworth Game Technology was created in 1995 by Len Ainsworth, the founder of Aristocrat. In 2001, AGI formed a strategic alliance with PBL Gaming to create the gaming programs for its Vanuatu-based internet casino. AGI acquired Victorian Gaming Systems Manufacturer (VGS) in January 2003, adding its new product, Celebrity, to the Ambassador range. The acquisition also provided AGI with an established distribution network in the Victorian and South Australian markets.
Differentiating Factor
AGI's primary business is the manufacture and distribution of its Ambassador machine and games. The new machine features a large high-resolution screen, 3D graphics, interactive sequences and up to 50 lines of play. An extensive range of games are available for the Ambassador machine. The machine is compatible with all existing gaming systems. AGI also manufactures and distributes the Celebrity, a high-resolution 2D machine.
Major Customers & Competitors
AGI primarily markets its machines and gaming systems to the casino market; however, it does distribute to the hotels and clubs industry also. AGI's major competitors are other electronic gaming machine manufacturers and distributors around the world, including Aristocrat, International Game Technology (IGT); WMS Industries; Bally and Alliance Gaming Corp.
